Week 3

QBs

Kyler Murray

Going up against Jacksonville, there is no reason to believe that he won’t break 35 points this week.

Patrick Mahomes

The Chargers are missing their top corner in Harris, and this was already a fun matchup for him.

Lamar Jackson

The Lions are missing two starting corners and a LB, so if Lamar wasn’t already going to run and throw all over the yard, he should now.

Matthew Stafford

Stafford can sling it with the best of them, and he likely will have to this week. Plus, the Buccs secondary isn’t all that great.

Joe Burrow

Burrow should bounce back this week against an injured Steelers defense. While they should have some success running the ball, Burrow could be a great value pick.

RBs

Deandre Swift

The Ravens are missing a lot of pieces on defense this week due to Covid protocols, the most notable of which in the run game is Brandon Williams. Swift should have fun this week.

Saquan Barkley

This is the week Barkley reminds us of his elite status. He gets a little extra rest this week and is going against a poor Falcons defense- it’s going to be special.

Ty’son Williams

Though he is part of an RB committee, this young man has shown a lot of talent and I like him to break a few big runs this week.

Austin Ekeler

The Chargers are going to want to own Time Of Possession and that means Ekeler gets fed. Plus, this Chiefs run defense isn’t great, and Clark will likely be out.

Joe Mixon

As I mentioned above, the Steelers defense is injured and this may be Mixon’s first big week of 2021.

Jonathan Taylor

The Colts will likely lean on him whether Wentz plays or not, and with that o-line, touches means a good floor.

Javonte Williams

We’ve seen Williams start to get his NFL legs under him in the first two weeks, and this week against the Jets should help him do that. I like his floor and he has great upside.

Michael Carter

The Broncos are missing some key ‘backers and Coleman is out. Carter and Johnson are both cheap options here on the Jets, but I think Carter played better last week. If you want an extreme value pick at the position, Carter should be on your list.

WRs

Tyreek Hill

The Chargers will be missing their top corner and Tyreek seemed a bit sore about all the heat he got for being covered by Averett last week. Mans is ready to go off.

Stefon Diggs

The Washington defense has surprised us all- in a bad way. I expect Diggs to have a great day.

Terry McLaurin

Heinicke loves this man and the Bills play a lot of zone- meaning that their top corner won’t always be on him.

Kenny Golladay

I think this is the week we see Golladay fully break into this offense. I think Saquan owns the Giants touch-count this week, but Golladay is cheap on most platforms and should have a strong week.

Marquis Brown

I think Hollywood has proven himself to have taken the next step, maneuvering around coverages a lot smoother and making the big plays everyone expected him to make when he was drafted.

OBJ

This man is back, healthy, and hungry. And CHEAP.

Ja’Marr Chase

Higgins is out, and that was really Chase’s biggest touch-competitor. I expect the Bengals to run the ball a bit more this week, but I don’t think the Steelers can cover this man for four quarters- and Burrow knows it.

Hunter Renfrow

This man gets lost in all the bigger pieces of that offense, but he has strong weeks. I really like his setup this week, especially in full PPR.

Cole Beasley

Yep, another slot guy. The WFT slot corner hasn’t played to his name yet this season, and Beasely is one of the best in the business.

Marvin Jones

Jones has been solid in 2021 and in a game that projects the Jaguars to be playing from behind, I think Jones has fun against this Cardinals secondary.

All Rams- Kupp, Woods, Jefferson

I really can’t pick just one. They all have talent and do special things, and Stafford will likely be slinging this football on many of their snaps.

Courtland Sutton

Sutton reminded us all that he is the real #1 in Denver, and I don’t believe anyone on the Jets can cover this man.

Justin Jefferson

The Vikings are a competitive team, and I think they’ll try to trade punches- Lockett for Jefferson. I like both of them to get a TD.

Tyler Lockett

Speaking of…

D.K Metcalf

Oh, and Metcalf. He is trending towards being a bit more expensive than his production so far this season, but man is a phenom. If this is the week he gets going, you want him in your lineups. If not, it was an expensive 10 points.

TEs

Travis Kelce

Kelce is going up against a Chargers secondary that will be missing its’ top corner. Also, it’s Kelce.

T.J. Hockenson

The Ravens are missing a lot of pieces in their run defense, and that could mean the linebackers suck up and open up play-action even more. That’s Hockenson’s dream situation.

Darren Waller

The Dolphins may put one of their dominant corners on him, but a big man that gets targets is always someone to look at. You may find you prefer a cheaper option though.

Gronk

The Rams have a great defense, but Gronk does Gronk things.

Austin Hooper

You could also put Bryant and Njoku here- though I imagine Hooper’s output will be indicative of his spot on the depth chart. However, with the Browns missing Landry, we could see production from more than one of their TEs.

Kyle Pitts

Pitts looked a lot better in week 2 than in week 1, and the Falcons hope he will take yet another step for their matchup against the Giants. If they want to compete, they need him to ball.

Albert Okwuegbunam

Bonus points if you know what team this man is on. The fact is, this team likes moving their TEs around and Okwuegbunam (his name is fun to type after you learn how to spell it) has gotten a few targets for decent yardage in both games so far.

P.S. He’s probably more of a full PPR play- and he’s on the Broncos.

DEFENSES

Bengals

Big Ben has been regressing for years, and now he is already showing signs of his age going into week 3. The Steelers OL is poor and the Bengals run D and DL are great- both things that bode well for this defense. Also, Diontae Johnson is out.

Dolphins

The Dolphins still have a great defense and you can bet Coach Flores is going to have them ready to help out his backup QB. Plus, the Raiders are a bit dinged-up.

Titans

Whether Carson plays or not, this Titans defense has some pieces that could make fireworks.

Broncos

An obvious choice, the big drawbacks are that they are expensive and missing some ‘backers. Still, they could have a DAY.

Raiders

I really only put this in to round out the list. The Raiders may be an interesting team to look at in a pinch this week, though I am not sure why you would need to.
